Most of Kuwait consists of water, but there are no rivers or lakes. The country includes several islands. Kuwait lies on the southern side of Kuwait bay and borders the Persian Gulf, between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The average temperature in the summer ranges from 42 - 48 degrees celsius. Kuwait's summer dust storms occur in the months of March and April. Winter temperatures during the day are between 10 - 17 degrees celsius. Temperatures at night can get as low as -6 degrees celsius. Rainfall ranges from 120 millimetres a year to as much 600 millimetres.
